“ Jim's joint BBQ , It was the first time I had stopped. But the lady I was with said it was a great place to eat. I had not even gotten the lady I help out of the van ,and this young man was right there helping. I was so grateful for the help he really was amazing you could tell he REALLY has a good heart and cares about the customers, which you don't find a lot. We ordered and I will tell you the chicken sandwich I got was delicious and was made with quality items. All the help was very kind. But Adam he takes the cake! Thank you so very much! Jeri Smith ”
“ Great first time at Jim's Joint. Food was excellent, service was good. The corn cakes - really more corn casserole - was so good I had to get another order. We'll be back the next time we're in the area. ”
“ Stopped in here just to find a bite and try something new after our camping trip. I honestly wasn't expecting much, just something serviceable, but this place really has it going on. We came in with our twin 6-year-olds. My wife got the pork sandwich and I got the beef brisket platter. We both got Mac and potato salad sides because our kids will eat those. Brisket was perfect, fat melted right into very tender meat, and the spicier sauce they have on the tables is simple but balanced perfectly with a nice zing (the sweeter one is good as well). My daughter ate half of my wife's sandwich and my son got into my brisket as well, and they don't usually even like barbecue. We barely got any of our sides away from the littles, because those were very good as well, especially if you like a dilly potato salad. The prices for what you get are very good for these days, where everything is crazy, especially meat. Even with our children eating from our orders, I still felt like I had enough to eat. So the portions were quite good. Honestly, for me, if it's consistently this good, it's one of the very best BBQ places in the state and my wife and I go to quite a few. We hope to come back and find the meal, service, and fountain pop just as inviting. Until next time. ”
“ Run don’t walk ! The staff is friendly, the vibes are right , and the small town of honor is always welcoming ! This place had great options with a simple straight forward menu that lets the Q shine ! I had the pork and beef - The beef is amazing - great flavor with the right amount of sauce for me . I’d dint need any salt or pepper or extra sauce ! The pulled pork is juicy and flavorful. Neither were fatty or greasy chunks of dry or bland food. Bonus - it’s amazing cold and doesn’t turn into globs of grease. The flavors and care they put in the food is reminiscent of the family style bbq that you would expect at that really cool uncles place ! Run , don’t walk to Jim’s ! Totally worth the two hour drive. Adam the manager cares tons about the people and food - as you can tell in every bite.. that’s Jim’s is like going home for a good family bbq ! Can’t wait to come back and try the Mac bowl and the nachos next ! ”
“ Friendly staff and comfy place. Very delicious food! Great sauces for the meats!! Very good prices. Can't wait for the next time. Food came out very fast! ”
“ Convenient place to stop for a quick delicious bite. Pork and beef BBQ sandwiches were delicious. Environment was good and staff were pleasant. Only downside was sticky tables. I can only imagine how much delicious BBQ sauce has to be wiped up from satisfied but sloppy customers. ”
“ I'm a local. Usually i eat across the street or at papa js but saw that BBQ sign sticking out and thought I never been here before. I'm a truck driver who ran Texas and Kansas city all the time, so I've had the best bbq that bbq offers...and the worst. This isn't the best, but it is very close. I had the beef brisket platter with Mac n cheese and coleslaw. Brisket was on point. Very tender and had a set glaze on it. Can't quite put my finger on it, but it's zesty. The max n cheese is flavorful and the coleslaw isn't swimming in dressing like a lot of places like to do. I think I found my new lunch spot. ”
“ Tiny but excellent barbeque spot in downtown Honor! The pork and Cuban sandwiches are so good, full of meat and reasonably priced. The staff is very friendly and efficient. Order from the counter and your food is brought to you lickety-split. ”
